I liked this film alot, the ending was kind of ~eh~ but overall I still enjoyed it. I think a sequel should be done so someone can stop Mary Shaw once and for all.

Well Ashen is dead so it'll have to take place somewhere else. Maybe Mary in the body of her doll Ella goes back on the road to do her ventriloquist gig and some unruly kids piss her off and she starts picking them off one by one. Only this time, she's out to create an army of living dolls.

Why do a second one? Jamie is dead, as is his father, and Jamie's girlfriend. Mary's gotten even with all of her enemies. Plus she now has her perfect doll. A sequel would just make no kind of sense.

I think this is a film best left as a one piece, not a two or three piece.

*Dead Silence* won't get a sequel because it's the type of movie that cannot be sequelized. The main character is dead, and the villainess got what she ultimately wanted. There's no need to continue the story.

Making a sequel to "Dead Silence" would be weird, I mean "Dead Silence" ended with total closure so it would be a cash in attempt at best.

The only story I could see for a potential part two to 'Dead Silence' is Mary getting lonely and trying to find herself a husband. Then she applies the same nefarious methods to doing so as she did to creating her "perfect doll".

Mary Shaw lonely? Doubtful. She displayed sociopathic and controlling issues and behavior in 'Dead Silence'. Someone like that doesn't get lonely.
