You can add Roel Reine's "Dead In Tombstone", and the thriller "Excision", to the list of genre films which we'll be watching in the near future to see just how much "horror" both will lean. Thus we will begin covering them promptly. BD is reporting that "Dead In Tombstone" will begin lensing this month in Bucharest, Romania. Penned by Shane Kuhn and Brendan Cowles...the movie will follow a character named Guerrero Hernandez. Who's the leader of the a gang of outlaws called "The Blackwater Gang". Hernandez frees his half-brother Red from a prison. So they can go loot the entire town. Only later on, to be shot in the back for his efforts. The deceased Hernandez then makes a deal with the Devil to rise from the grave for revenge. Meanwhile, set to premier at this month's Sundance film festival, will be "Excision". A new thriller starring AnnaLynne McCord, Traci Lords, Ariel Winter, Roger Bart, and John Waters.
Newly released poster art is pictured above. In the movie, a very disturbed and delusional high school student. Whom also has high aspirations of a career in medicine...goes to varying extremes to earn the approval of her controlling mother. Again, we'll be keeping an eye on both of these movies to see if they fit tightly enough into the genre to be added to the database, and eventually covered. However, should "Dead In Tombstone" go the route of "Jonah Hex", and "Excision" lean too much into "The Roommate" territory...this is the last you'll be hearing of either film on this site.
