HOO-RAH! HOO-RAH! Another PG-13 supernatural horror movie! Oh happy day! sigh. Now that I've gotten my fake excitement out of the way, we were informed today that the Ghost House and Lionsgate Films scare flick "The Possession" (formerly know as The Dibbuk Box). Has been tagged with a PG-13 rating. The pic is currently set for an August 31st release date. And for future reference, let me remind the readers that horror films sent to theaters in very late August borderline September? Are usually Not very good. Just a warning. Not a FACT that all end up being a waste of celluloid...but one of those warnings akin to 67% of people involved in car wrecks are driving drunk. Not all drunk drivers crash and burn, but 67% is a huge chunk indeed!
Anyways, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Kyra Sedgwick, Madison Davenport, and Natasha Calis star in "The Possession". Which follows Clyde Breneck and his 10-year-old daughter, Em, who purchase an antique box at a yard sale. Em however accidentally releases an ancient spirit from the box, that has one goal: to devour her. Clyde must now team with his ex-wife to put an end to the curse. This film was originally set for a January release by the way. Guess "Underworld 4" and "The Devil Inside" scared em' off. *shrugs.*
