After a very successful first season, now the work begins on the second season for FX Network's horror/thriller series "American Horror Story"! At a recent gathering of the Television Critics Association. FX General Manager and President John Landgraf revealed what is currently being done about the cast for the second season. A new cast is pretty much needed considering 98% of the season 1 cast died in the series opening season. Landgraf though says that the work in finding season 2's cast, has already begun. "Ryan Murphy's already looking for that cast," he told them. "He's already in active conversations with new people and also two or possibly three of the existing cast members, some series regulars or guest cast may be continuing next year although they would be playing entirely new roles."
Meanwhile, if you caught the conclusion of season 1...you saw that Jessica Lange's character Constance had a very, "evil", bundle of joy on her hands. With the baby of Connie Britton and Dylan McDermott's characters now under her care. So she simply "must"...return for season 2 right? Right? Well it seems that with McDermott and Britton not returning for season 2, Lange herself isn't even sure she'll be returning. But at the same time, she remained ambiguous about things. Lange tells TV Line..."Yes, we are considering a second season." Adding..."Nothing is definite yet. It's going to be entirely up to [the producers]. I know that everybody that is returning will be playing a different character." "American Horror Story" will reportedly have an almost entirely different cast of characters from the first season.
As we as an entirely new house and location. And it's looking like as this show continues, we might have a scenario where each season covers a different haunted house or location with each new season! Thus giving fans of the series a more robust debate on which season and in turn, which "Haunting"...was most entertaining throughout a full season run. Ala series such as "The Twilight Zone", where each season had a bunch of different episodes. But as for everyone returning playing an entirely different character? That...might be a bit tricky. I guess we'll see soon enough though. "American Horror Story" season 2, should it move forward quick enough, would most likely begin its run this fall.
