What are the odds that Bollywood would be producing two zombie movies at the same time? Apparently, they're pretty good! According to Hindustantimes. Who report that Bollywood star turned filmmaker Luke Kenny, is set to move forward with a new flick about the undead called "Zombie". The film, is expected to be an origins tale. But the problem? Another Bollywood filmmaker named Navdeep Singh Also, has plans for a film of the same name to move into production soon! "I was surprised to learn that Luke Kenny was making a film called Zombie. I own the title, so I don't know how he could have picked it up," said iRock Media's Siddhartha. Who's producing Singh's "Zombie" film. "Only if I sign a No Objection Certificate (NOC), can Luke release his. I don't have to take any action. If Luke tries to release the film, he will have to inform the producer's guild first and they will point out to him that he can't release the film under a title that I own."
However, it seems Kenny is very willing to work this little stumble-bumble out, with Luke responding by saying..."I've just found out that iRock owns the title. I'd like to sort out the matter amicably." Singh's zombie film meanwhile originally ran under the title of Bollywood Zombie. And as Singh explains about the pic..."George Romero's zombie films, define the genre. But Rock The Shaadi is not inspired by this series. It's a rom-com that unfolds against the backdrop of a Punjabi-meets-zombie wedding." Cool to see "zombie-fandom" has spread to Bollywood!
