Who here thinks Dark Castles "Ghost Ship" should get a sequel? I think the ending of "Ghost Ship" with ferriman explaining his purpose for bringing Epps and her crew onto the ship opened up some interesting avenues for the story to go in with a potential sequel. That and the fact that the film ended with Ferriman having claimed Dodge for his next *mission to collect* if you will. So Epps would have some motivation for trying to destroy him for good.

I don't know. I remember thinking that I really liked the movie the first time I saw it but going over it a second time I found that it was really empty. Maybe it was just the kills that got me the first time (the wire gag at the beginning was just fucking genius). So what would the sequel be? Epps trying to bring Ferriman down or Ferriman (or somebody else) trying to take the souls of another group of people? They would have to come up with one monster twist to make the sequel any different from the original.

The first one was more or less forgetable from a mainstream point of view. I mean granted horror movie fans remember it and a good portion of them didn't like it. But for other people, this isn't a film that brought anything strikingly new to the table or had any name actors to identify with. It's the kind of movie you watch and then do little to no reflecting on later. Thus a sequel would blindside most people and wouldn't really do well IMO.

There won't be a sequel. For one, as they've stated before, Dark Castle doesn't do sequels. Number 2, they wouldn't be able to come up with a good enough script to continue the story without rehashing the first film.If the sequel took place on land, could you even call it "Ghost Ship" anymore?

They really wouldn't need to just label it "Ghost Ship'. They could stick some tagline in front of it, and then put 'Ghost Ship 2' after it. I think this particular dark castle movie deserves a sequel though. Seeing as how it had more of a deeper story than any of the previous ones. Including 'House of Wax'.

Yes but Dead the issue here is that this movie wasn't a film that made alot of noise and kept moviegoers and critics alike talking about it for months. It was one of those come and go horror movies. Investing in a sequel would be pretty much a financial disaster for warner brothers.

UH HUH and movies like that get ONLY direct to video sequels if that. and Since warner brothers doesn't deal in releasing direct-to-video movies, anyone who thinks there'll be a sequel to "Ghost Ship" can kiss those hopes goodbye.Sides, the film is best left as is.The badass bad guy won, lets keep it that way. #DRUIDD#

I might would be interested in a second "Ghost Ship" if they brought back Epps, Katie, and Ferriman. If either of them aren't on board for the sequel, then I wouldn't bother with it.

No dark Castle movies can have sequels that's the purpose of making them. To present a horror movie that begins and ends without any question marks left behind.
