"Ghost Ship" was a cool ass movie but I think it's best left as it is with Ferriman winning in the end.

There will never be a sequel to 'Ghost Ship' for a number of reasons. Dark Castle has a no sequel policy and second 'Ghost Ship' didn't make a ton of money.

I don't know. I remember thinking that I really liked the movie the first time I saw it but going over it a second time I found that it was really empty. Maybe it was just the kills that got me the first time (the wire gag at the beginning was just fucking genius). So what would the sequel be? Epps trying to bring Ferriman down or Ferriman (or somebody else) trying to take the souls of another group of people? They would have to come up with one monster twist to make the sequel any different from the original. Ferriman should be gone shouldn't he? I mean the guy failed at his mission, the ship sunk the souls escaped. He only managed to deliver half of them if that many.

Or "management" felt a little forgiving and decided to grant him a second opportunity.

'Ghost Ship' isn't popular enough to warrant a sequel. To do a sequel you need to be absolutely sure you have drawing power. 'Ghost Ship 2' would have little to none.

Or "management" felt a little forgiving and decided to grant him a second opportunity. Remember Ferriman said souls without sin can't be marked, and that makes them tough to control. Since alot of folks on that boat had commited sins Ferriman probably had little to no problem getting all of the souls he lost back after Epps blew the ship.

"Ghost Ship 2" would be cool if it were based around the Ferriman character.

It would have to be based around him.
