Lionsgate is getting into the microbudget horror business as they announced today a new initiative to produce genre films made for under $2 million dollars. The first of their three kick-off movies will be Greg Mclean's "6 Miranda Drive". Based on true events, the film will follow a family that unwittingly brings a supernatural force home with them from vacation. Feeding off their own fears, the evil presence threatens to destroy them from within as it takes over their lives and home, with terrifying results. Up to 10 flicks a year are expected to be produced under LGF's new indie initiative.
