It's a classic, I'm sure you've all seen it...."Duel". It was the 70's era's "Joyride", where a business commuter has a run in with a pissed off trucker and has to go up against his 18 wheeler in a road rage scenario.

'Duel' is one of the best made-for-tv horror movies. The other being 'Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark'.

What makes DUEL work so well is it's one of the early horror films to use the ~cloak~ method with it's villain. We don't see much of him for a lengthy portion of the film. Which adds to the suspense.

I loved "Duel". But I wonder about two things....
1.What ever happened to David Mann? Did he eventually get rescued or did he die out there tossing rocks?
2.What did the mad trucker want? At first it seemed he wanted to screw with David psychologically. But as the film went on, it seemed he wanted to kill him. But then near the end it kind of looked as if he was back to playing mind games.

In answer to your second question, he was just a psycho like Rusty Nail for example.
