British actress Rosamund Pike (Die Another Day) has been signed to star in Universal Pictures' video game adaptation Doom. Rosamund will play the character of Samantha, a scientist, opposite Karl Urban, who will play John Grimm, the leader of a special ops team at the center of everything. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is also set to take a leading role. Andrzej Bartkowiak will direct the feature, which has had a long development history. Lorenzo Di Bonaventura and John Wells will be producing. "Doom" was written by Dave Callaham.
