I think he was on his way to becoming a major horror icon. But like others, his career was killed when the actor who played him decided to hang it up.

The Wishmaster movies were bound to start going straight to DVD after "Wishmaster" because that film didn't make enough money at the movies.

The series still had life until part three came along though. Four just put the final nail in the djinn's career coffin.

I always had wondered why Myriad Pictures never made another "Wishmaster" to counteract that royal sucktitude of the "Wishmaster 4" movie. They really should.
